Air Suspension Problems?
The most important thing to understand
about air suspension is that it’s just like brakes and tires. It includes wear
items that WILL require multiple repairs during the life of the vehicle.
These factory equipped air suspension systems usually start failing
approx. 7 years old and normally exhibit a "soft problem" like a ride
control light or Airmatic failure message. All indications that a day at the
repair shop is in your near future.
with air suspension, if the root cause is not correctly diagnosed by the
technician, some parts maybe replaced needlessly, or even need to be replaced
more than once. Greatly adding to the cost of maintaining your vehicle. Its
been our experience over the years, that only 1 in 20 mechanics are good at
diagnosing an air suspension system. While most can finally get it working
after a while, the majority will just keep throwing parts at the vehicle until
either they get lucky and fix it......or you run out of money!
Converting to Coil Springs means No magic, No
mystery, No Specially Trained Mechanic
work on the air suspension from now on. Just a good old-school type suspension
that any mechanic can work on! A solid steel coil spring keeps you & your
family from being stuck on the side of the road....not a big mess of high tech
wires & sensors.
