American Air Suspension

 

I was a "Ford/Lincoln & ASE Certified" Front End, Brake and Suspension Technician for Ford and Lincoln for over 20 years. I spent my nights rebuilding air suspension compressors at home in my garage the last 3 years of that 20 year period, which allowed me to do Real-World research on each and every compressor type. Finding out why these compressors die.....and finding ways to make them last longer. This gave me an huge advantage over the competition by being well versed on both sides of the fence.....so to speak.

The word quickly got around about my compressors locally and I found myself having to take time off of my "day job", to keep up with the demand of my "night job". The summer of 1999, I quit working for Lincoln and started rebuilding compressors full time. I also started helping people on various websites/forums, speaking "plain english" with people and fine tuning my ability to diagnose these complicated systems over the phone.

As you can see, buying the best parts at a great price is not the only advantage you get from American Air Suspension. While price is surely important, we think service should be THE most important! Air Suspension is a VERY specialized area. Its been our experience over the years, that only 1 in 20 mechanics know enough about these systems to fix the problem the 1st time. This means the original estimate you receive, may wind up being a fraction of the REAL cost to repair your vehicle. With that being said, if a mechanic that works on cars all day long has a hard time figuring out whats wrong with an air suspension system, how much do you really think a salesman or even a saleswoman over the phone at one of these big warehouse stores knows? Do they really want to fix your car?....or are they trying to sell you what makes THEM the most money?

The owner of American Air Suspension(Eddie Spinks), spent countless hours at Ford's own teaching facility. Absorbing all the air suspension knowledge Ford had to offer......then taking it to a higher level after wards. Staying with it every day and doing all the necessary R & D to be the best at what we do is the key to our success....and the reason why we were contacted back in '07 by Ford, in hopes of sharing our knowledge & secrets of our compressors! :-)

American Air Suspension is a small business with a BIG heart. Unlike our competitors, which have the big business attitude, "Build it as cheap as possible to get it out of warranty", we WILL NOT skimp on quality to make a dollar! We are proud of our country and our name and WILL NOT make or sell a part that is inferior. Keep in mind that most of these air suspension parts were manufactured in Japan, but are being remanufactured here by Americans.... for Americans. There are plenty of those big warehouse stores on the net that sell inferior parts for close to the same price as good parts......but there isn't a company out there that knows more of the ins & outs of your air suspension than American Air Suspension.
