STAR II" TESTER LOANER PROGRAM
With
the right knowledge, most
air suspension problems can be diagnosed and repaired without the use of any scanner.
For the small percentage of vehicles that do need the codes retrieved in order
to know "where to start", most have no other option but to take their
vehicle into the dealer. Dealerships can charge anywhere from $75-$200 for their
"best guess". Keep in mind that this "checkout charge" is
just to let you know what is wrong with the vehicle. Repairing the actual problem
is in addition to this!
Most of
the time, It doesn't do much good to go to a independent shop, because most of
them won't have the correct scanner or to be honest, the knowledge to use one
correctly if they did have one. In other words, even if they did have a scanner
that was compatible, they may use your checkbook to further their education.
To
better meet our customers needs, AMERICAN
AIR SUSPENSION now offers a scan tool for use with the the older
Lincolns & Fords. This scan tool is called a "Super Star II" tester
and is for use on Mark VII's, Mark VIII's, Town Cars & Early Continentals.
Easy to use instructions can from our website if needed to help you retrieve the
needed code(s).
To loan this scanner,
you must
1) Discuss your vehicles
problem with us first and if we recommend this as the next step, we will loan
the scan tool to you for a short time (10 days) to aid in the diagnoses of your
problem(s).
2) Because this
is an expensive tool and we need it for other customers, if you want to borrow/rent
the scan tool, you must have a valid MasterCard or Visa Credit card that a $500
deposit can be applied to.
NOTE:
This credit card must have the persons name on it that is actually borrowing the
tool! (sorry, no borrowing your buddies card)
A
personal check or money order can be used, but will need to "clear"
before the tool can be sent out.
3)
The scan tool must be returned unharmed in 10 days or less. A loan time any longer
will have to be cleared by us BEFORE you receive the tool! You
are responsible for damages to the scan tool while its in your care.
4) In the event that we do not receive the scan tool back in the allotted 10 days,
a nonreturnable "late fee" of $25 per day, may be charged
to your credit card until we receive the tool back.
5)
You will be liable for any and all shipping charges and insurance to and from
our Tennessee office. (if available, you can get the
tool pretty much as fast or slow as needed)
NOTE:
The scan tool WILL BE insured when its sent to you and we recommend that you insure
the scan tool for the full $500 when you send it back. The small cost of insuring
the tool will be allot less if something bad happens.
REMEMBER....you
are responsible for this tool until we get it back!
6)
The cost of using the loan tool is FREE
as long as it is returned in the allotted timeframe, undamaged AND you have then
made arrangements to purchase at least $100 of parts from us within the allotted
10 days.
(This
can be air suspension parts or a coil spring conversion)
IF
at least $100 of parts have not been purchased within the allotted 10 days, a
$100 nonreturnable charge may be accessed on your credit card!
7)
A copy of this will be e-mailed to you and must be returned with the "I Agree"
portion checked and with your name filled in below, before this tool is sent out.
We
hate to be so picky about this, but this is an expensive tool and we have been
screwed just about every way possible in the past. We aren't looking to make money
on this tool, we simply need it back for the next customer.
